June Lester Modlin, 74, died Oct. 20, 1997.
A native of Norfolk, she was the widow of Ennis ``Ed'' Modlin and the daughter of William M. and Susie H. Lester. She was a member of Park Place United Methodist Church, the Mary Williford Circle of Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters and the Women's Division of the Elks BPOE Lodge No. 38.
Survivors include her daughters, Linda C. Howell and her husband, Coy, of Chesapeake; sons, William Lester Modlin and his wife, Deborah, of Virginia Beach; grandchildren, Paula Retz of Reston, Va., Beth Howell of Chesapeake and Eric Modlin of Norfolk.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
