The recreational season for striped bass will open at 6 a.m. Nov. 15 and is scheduled to close at 6 p.m. Dec. 31 - unless the quota is caught earlier, state officials said Tuesday.
Anglers will be allowed to fish on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays only in the Albemarle, Currituck, Roanoke and Croatan sounds and in Oregon Inlet.
Striped bass, also called rockfish, must be at least 21 inches long to keep. For details, call (919) 762-7021.
