BETTY B. PEAKE

Betty Belle Peake, 47, of the 2600 block of McKann Ave. died Monday, Oct. 20, 1997, in DePaul Medical Center.

A native of Surry County and a member of Good News Family Worship Center, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Young and Edna Young Langhorne.

Survivors include her stepfather, Roy Langhorne of Surry; her companion, William E. Brown of Norfolk; a son, Joseph Peake of Norfolk; four brothers, Joseph A. Young of Norfolk, Conrad Young of Georgia, Norman Young of Boston, Mass., and Lorenzo Young of Surry; two sisters, Glenda Peterson of Norfolk and Loretta Chamberliss of Surry; a grandchild; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Good News Family Worship Center with Pastor Levi Willis officiating. Interment will be in Davis Cemetery, Surry. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday in Poole's Funeral Home, Smithfield. Mrs. Peake will be viewed at the church one hour prior to the service. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
