CHARLES D. OSBORN JR.

Charles ``Chuck'' Dewayne Osborn Jr., 40, went home to be with the Lord on Oct. 21, 1997.

Mr. Osborn had been a sergeant for the Virginia Beach Police Department for 15 years. He was a graduate of St. Leo's College and a member of Atlantic Shores Baptist Church. He was a devoted husband and father.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa Osborn; a son, Blake Osborn; his mother, Alma L. Anniss of Virginia Beach; his father, Charles D. Osborn Sr. of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; two sisters, Melodee R. Case of Virginia Beach and Melinda O. Smith of Grifton, N.C.; two brothers, James F. Osborn of Chesapeake and Terry L. Osborn of Poplar Bluff; grandparents, Benjamin F. Osborn and Marie Osborn of Qulin, Mo.; six nephews; and six nieces.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today in Kellum Funeral Home, Rosewood Chapel. A church service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Atlantic Shores Baptist Church, Centerville Turnpike, Virginia Beach, by Pastor Jim Wolfcale. Interment will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park.
