WENDELL M. PEELE SR.

Wendell McCoy ``Demp'' Peele Sr., 61, of the 1000 block of Gaslight Lane diedOct. 19, 1997, in Sentara Leigh Hospital.

Born in Norfolk, he was a truck driver for Moore's and a member of Mount Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Eva Lee Peele; two daughters, Sheila G. Tutt of Greensboro, N.C., Lisa P. Lee of Washington, D.C.; three sons, Reginald B. Peele of Greensboro, Wendell M. Peele Jr. of Virginia Beach, Jeffrey W. Peele of Newport News; a brother, Leslie M. Bailey; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and special best friends, Noble Lee Whitney of Washington, D.C., and Brother Williams.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. today in Mt. Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church, Bells Mill Road, Bells Mill area of Chesapeake, by the Rev. Kim Brown, pastor. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Hale Funeral Home is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
