Spencer Tracy Evans, 26, of the 2500 block of Bird Lane died Oct. 19, 1997, in a Bethesda, Md., hospital.
A native of Portsmouth, he was the son of Nancy Aydlette Evans of Portsmouth and the late Douglas Eugene Evans.
Survivors include a son, Trenton Douglas Hagerman of Portsmouth; girlfriend, MarTina Hagerman of Portsmouth; a sister, Kellie R. Evans of Portsmouth; two brothers, David C. Evans of Portsmouth and Kenneth L. Evans of Edgewater, Fla.
A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Allen Dooley. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Spencer T. Evans Assistance Fund, c/o any First Union Bank.
