Ruth Panton Davis, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, has gone to be with the Lord, Oct. 22, 1997. She was 95.
A resident of the Ballentine Home, Norfolk, she was born in Milwaukee, N.C., and was the widow of Raymond H. Davis. She was a 55-year member of Knox Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Frances Barrineau, Marian Mainzer, Sylvia Whitfield and Jacquelyn Leonard, all of Norfolk; two sons, Elbert Davis of Richmond and Irvin Davis of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. J. Ewing Brown. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to Knox Presbyterian Church. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
