G. BRIDGE PUTS 3 ON FIRST TEAM

Southeastern District champion Great Bridge placed three players on the first team of the all-district golf squad.

Sophomores Mike Nemcosky and Evan Adamson and junior Pat McDuff were all named to the first team as the Wildcats finished tied for sixth in the state Group AAA tournament. Nemcosky, who shot 155 and 150 respectively in the district and Eastern Region tournaments, was named player of the year.

The three Wildcats were joined on the first team by Indian River senior Chris Taylor; Lakeland senior Ryan Lambert; and Nansemond River senior Shaun Robertson.

Taylor shot 152 at last week's regional to advance to the state tournament in Amherst earlier this week.

Lambert, a transfer from Nansemond-Suffolk, was the medalist in the district tournament and shot 154 last week to also advance to the state tournament.

Robertson, last year's district tournament medalist, advanced to the regional tournament.
