EDUCATION BY THE NUMBERS

ILLUSTRATION: GRAPHIC

Recently, teachers across the country released a troubling report

card. And it wasn't student performance they were disappointed with

- it was parents.

The following is the percentage of teachers who say that, over

the course of their careers, parents have become:

Less demanding - 41%

More self-centered - 53%

Less involved with their children's school lives - 63%

Less ethical/moral - 69%

Less willing or able to spend time with their children - 73%
