Columbus Murphy Sr., of the 2600 block of Princess Anne Road, died Oct. 19, 1997, in a local hospital.
Born in Virginia, he retired from the carpentry department of NRHA.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Murphy; seven daughters; three sons; a sister; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Holy Church of Fire by the Rev. Porter. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Friends may join the family at 1215 Norchester Ave. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
