Thomas F. Totty Sr., 60, of the 1000 block of Vanderploeg Drive died Oct. 22, 1997, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
A native of Nottoway County, Va., Mr. Totty retired four years ago from Norfolk Southern Railroad after 38 year of service.
He is survived by his wife, Janette L. Totty of the residence; two sons, Thomas F. Totty Jr. and Timothy D. Totty, both of Chesapeake; two sisters, Betty Jo Meinhard of Cumberland, Va., Clara Mann Boykin of Durham, N.C.; two brothers, Jerry Totty of Suffolk, E.T. Totty of St. Augustine, Fla.; and a grandson, Jesse Weston Totty of Chesapeake.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk, Chesapeake, by the Rev. Allen Byers. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Burkeville, Va. Visitation will from 7 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
