MARY L. WHITE

Mary Louise White, 84, of the 1300 block of Fairfax Ave. died Thursday, Oct. 23, 1997, in Albemarle Hospital.

She was a native of Winfall, Perquimans County, N.C., a member of the First Baptist Church of Elizabeth City and a former employee of the Carolina Amusement Co. Miss White was the daughter of the late Jesse White and Mrs. Mary ``Mamie'' Turner Swayne.

She is survived by a sister, Elizabeth White Halstead; and brother-in-law, Bennie B. Halstead of Elizabeth City.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Twiford's Memorial Chapel, Church Street, by the Rev. David Anderson. Burial will follow in Old Hollywood Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home lobby immediately after the service and at other times at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Bennie V. Halstead, 1301 Fairfax Ave. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the First Baptist Church or to Albemarle Home Care. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
