Gloria Jean Brown, 52, of 115 Broad St. died Thursday, Oct. 23, 1997, in her home.

She is survived by her daughters, Bernadette Grant of Atlanta, Ga., Rene Grant of Suffolk, and Kennetta Brown of Franklin; a granddaughter, Taylour B. Grant of Atlanta; 12 sisters, Alma Jackson of New York, Bertha Artis, Dorothy Whitehead, Maxine Brown, Yvonne Lee, all of Norfolk, Rosa Lee of New York, Cherry Brown, Lynette Brown, Connie Brown and Missy Brown, all of Connecticut, Nedra Williams and Catherine Williams both of North Carolina; eight brothers, James Lee, John C. Lee, both of New York, Albert Brown and Matthew Brown, both of California, Alfonso Brown, Alonso Brown, Eric Brown and David Brown, all of Connecticut. She is predeceased in death by a daughter, Gwendolyn Grant, and a son, Clarence Bernard Grant.

A funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in Scott's Revival Center by Elder C.L. Scott. Burial will be in Carver Cemetery, Suffolk. The family will receive friends at Entrusting Hands Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. today KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
