WILLA MAE NEATHERY

Willa Mae Neathery, 64, died Oct. 23, 1997, in Mary Immaculate Hospital.

A native of West Virginia, she was a resident of Newport News for 49 years. She was a beautician at Seoul Beauty Salon. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church where she was involved in the church choir and nursery. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Forrest Hugh Carr, and will be buried beside him.

Survivors include her husband, Jack E. Neathery; son, Byron Hugh Carr of Williamsburg; her daughter, Donna Mae Whitted of Newport News; three grandchildren, Julia L. Whitted of Newport News, Rebecca A. Carr and Robert H. Carr, both of Williamsburg; a brother, Orville Arbogast of Cleveland, Ohio; two sisters, Ruby Vest of Elkins, W.Va., and Christine Midkiff of Springfield, Ohio.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Tabernacle Baptist Church by the Rev. Fred A. King. Burial will be in Peninsula Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday in Umphlett Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
