WILLIAM H. BERG

William H. Berg passed away Oct. 10, 1997. He was retired from General Motors, Clark, N.J.

He is survived by a brother, Russell Berg of New Jersey; a daughter, Ruth Simmons and her husband, John, of Chesapeake; a son, William C. Berg and his wife, Ruth, of West Virginia; six grandsons, John and Lora of Suffolk, Ken and Laura of Chesapeake, Brian and Tracy of Chesapeake, Bill Jr., Eric and Stephen of West Virginia; two great-grandsons, Scott and Kenny of Chesapeake.

A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday in Laurel Avenue Church of Christ, 1126 Laurel Ave., Chesapeake, by Rupert Wallace. Burial will be private at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive visitors from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at 1418 Linden Ave., Chesapeake. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Laurel Avenue Church of Christ or the American Cancer Society.
