Everett Vincent Conwell, 80, of the 2100 block of Haywood Ave., died Oct. 25, 1997.
Born in South Norfolk, Va., he was a retired chief warrant officer of the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of South Norfolk Masonic Lodge No. 339, A.F. & A.M., Norfolk Consistory of Scottish Rite Bodies, Khedive Temple of the Shrine, Arab Patrol of Khedive Temple, Chesapeake Shrine Club, Retired Officers Association, Moose Lodge No. 39, and Churchland Senior Center where he was a volunteer for ballroom dance. He also played trumpet with some local bands. He was the son of the late John Everett Conwell and Pansy Dean Conwell.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia M. Conwell of the residence; a stepdaughter, Charlotte B. Nazarko and her husband, Peter W. Nazarko of Humble, Texas; a stepson, Douglas M. Baum of Fairbanks, Alaska; and a granddaughter, Kristen A. Nazarko of Humble. He was also predeceased by a brother, Larry N. Conwell.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, in Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Frank Hughes. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
