Geneva Carroll Garrett, 72, of the 1700 block of Blueridge Road, died Friday,Oct. 24, 1997.
Mrs. Garrett was a native of Atlanta, Ga., and was the daughter of Bertha Morgan Carroll and the late George William Carroll. She was predeceased by a son, Ray Earl Garrett Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Ray Earl Garrett Sr.; two daughters, Sandra Garrett Wilson and her husband, Rorie N. Wilson, of Portsmouth, Rhonda Faye O'Neal and her husband, John F. O'Neal Jr., of Ocracoke Island; a son, Ronald James Garrett of Knotts Island; a granddaughter, Aarynn Wilson of Portsmouth; three sisters, Janette Page, Verna Brady and Edna McDaniel, all of Fayetteville, N.C.; three brothers, George W. Carroll Jr. of Portsmouth, James Carroll of Sasser, Ga. and Bernard Carroll of Fayetteville.
A funeral will be conducted in the chapel of Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, at 11 a.m. Monday by the Rev. Charles Thompson of First Baptist Church, Suffolk. Interment will be in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. today. The family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society Breast Cancer Program, 2730 Ellsmere Ave., Norfolk, Va. 23513. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITAURY
