JEAN E. RIDDICK

Jean E. Miller Riddick, 48, died Oct. 25, 1997, after a lengthy illness.

A native of Norfolk, she was the daughter of Mildred Miller Rappold and the late Fred Miller. She was predeceased by a son, Donald Lee Riddick Jr., and separated from her husband, Donald Lee Riddick Sr.

She is survived by her three daughters, Mildred Miller of Norfolk, Michelle Riddick Lassiter and her husband, Marcus Lassiter, of Norfolk, and U.S. Navy Lt. Helen Miller of Chesapeake; four grandchildren, Lakeyia, Ty'Quana, Marcus Jr. and Tyris; two sisters, Gail White of Norfolk and Carolyn Williams of Boston; an aunt, Robena Holley Mackey of Virginia Beach; a stepfather, Joseph Rappold of Norfolk; cousins, nephews, nieces; mother-in-law, Jean Young of Norfolk; five sisters-in-law; six brothers-in-law; many family friends and a special friend and caregiver, Naomi Tucker of Virginia Beach.

A memorial service will be conducted at noon Tuesday, Oct. 28, at Mason Memorial Church of God in Christ, 744 Goff St., Norfolk, by the Rev. David B. Williams. The family will receive friends at 501 Landmark Court, Chesapeake, following the service. Memorial donations may be made to Tidewater AIDS Crisis Taskforce or the Minority AIDS Consortium Eastern Region, P.O. Box 196, Norfolk, Va.
