LYDIA A. TESHARA

Lydia A. Teshara, 87, of the 400 block of Whitehead St., was called to rest in a local hospital at noon Oct. 20, 1997. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Lydia Stancil of New Bern, N.C.

She retired from the dietary department of the C.H.K.D. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Berkley. She served on the senior usher board until her illness. Also, she was a member of the Star of East No. 6, United Order of Tents.

Left to cherish her memory are husband, Mr. Francis J. Teshara; a son, Benny Robinson and his wife, Beverly; two grandchildren, Benita and Belinda Robinson; a stepson, Joseph A. Teshara Sr. and his wife, Harriett; their children, Joyce A., Joseph Jr. and wife, Regina, and Annie; a grandchild, Justin A. Teshara; a brother, Benjamin Stancil; two special children, Zachery Owens and Priscilla Merchant; two special nieces, Nettie Sumler and Dorothy Norfleet; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at First Baptist Church Berkley, at noon Monday by the Rev. W.D. Tyree III. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. ILLUSTRATION: Photo KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
