JAMES W. TURNER JR.

Retired U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. James Willie Turner Jr., 50, of the 5900 block of Knightsbridge Way, died Oct. 24, 1997.

He was a native of Martinsville, Va., and retired as a master sergeant after 23 1/2 years in the Air Force. He was also a treatment plant operator for the Hampton Roads Sanitation District.

Survivors include his wife, Silvia I. Turner; a daughter, Tiffany D. Turner of Portsmouth; a son, James W. Turner III of Inglewood, Texas; mother, Virgie Turner of Martinsville; a sister, Sharon Turner of Martinsville; two brothers, Bryce Turner and Marshall Turner, both of Martinsville; a grandson, Khym A. Turner of New Orleans; and daughter-in-law, Keesha D. Turner of New Orleans.

A funeral will be held at 6 p.m. Monday in Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel. Burial will be private. Family will be at the funeral home from 1 to 7 p.m. today. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
