WILLIE MAE NUTTER

Willie Mae Newsome Holloman Nutter, 88, died Oct. 23, 1997, in Autumn Care Villa.

Born in Hertford County, N.C., she was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Ahoskie and its Women's Missionary Union. She was also active in Harrellsville Baptist Church for many years. Mrs. Nutter was a church pianist, active in the choir and taught Sunday School. She was the daughter of the late Lula Valentine Newsome and the late Willie Jackson Newsome.

Survivors include her daughter, Willie Lou Bishop and husband, Buck, of Roxobel, N.C.; a son, L.T. Holloman of Norfolk; a sister, Ruth Butler of Rich Square; two granddaughters, Wendy Bishop of Rocky Mount, N.C., and Debra Johnson and husband, Don, of Franklin, Va.; two great-grandsons, Matthew and Aaron Johnson of Franklin. She was preceded in death by husbands L.T. Holloman Sr. and Clyde A. Nutter.

A graveside service was conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25 in Harrellsville Cemetery by the Rev. Curtis Faison, the Rev. H.C. Boschen and Dr. Jesse Croom. The family will receive friends at the home of Willie Lou and Buck Bishop, 107 N. Main St., Roxobel. Garrett Funeral Home, Ahoskie, in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
