PAULINE D. MAHAN

Pauline D. Mahan, 88, of the 1100 block of Candlewood Drive, died Oct. 26, 1997.

Born in Canadian, Texas, she was the widow of Austin V. Mahan and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Chesapeake. Mrs. Mahan retired as chief telephone operator of Southwestern Bell of Wichita Falls, Texas, and was regional director of the Multiple Sclerosis Association, Wichita Falls.

Survivors include a daughter, Norma Jean Cook of Moore, Okla.; three sons, Charles D. Chamberlin of Plano, Texas, Harry L. Chamberlin of Virginia Beach, Robert T. Zimmerman; a sister, Ruth Moore of Waco, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Bethel Baptist Church by the Rev. Chip Roberson. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The fmaily will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today in Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, and at the residence at all other times. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
