SAUSAGE CRUMBLES ADD ZIP TO RECIPES

SAUSAGE CRUMBLES are little bits of fully cooked sausage sold under the name Johnsonville Crumbles by Johnsonville Foods Co., Sheboygan Falls, Wis. The line has several flavors, including mild Italian style, hot Italian style, onion and garlic flavor.

Sausage crumbles help give everyday recipes a new zip and save time in the kitchen. You may simply add them to your favorite casserole, sauce or soup. Try them with pasta, rice or potato dishes. Or use them in omeletes, tacos and poultry dressing.

Selection and storage: Crumbles are available in local supermarkets in the meat case. Buy them to use within the time printed on package. Store in refrigerator until ready to use or, if using only a small amount, freeze the remainder in a storage bag and use as desired.

Equivalents: If using in a recipe calling for uncooked sausage, 1 (11.2-ounce) package of sausage crumbles equals one pound of fresh sausage.
