Mary C. Whittaker, 65, of the 900 block of Kaster Arch died Oct. 27, 1997, in a local hospital.

An area resident for 36 years, she was the wife of Retired U.S. Navy Lt. Cmdr. Don J. Whittaker; mother of Debra Gregory, Don Jr., Norman and Tom Whittaker. She is also survived by a brother, Earl Carrigan of Rochester, N.Y.; two sisters, Frances Nagy of Winter Haven, Fla., and Esther Myers of Wilson, N.Y.; and by several granddaughters.

Private services will be held at Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, is handling arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
