Lola Garris Boone, 89, of Lakeview Plaza Apts., died Wednesday morning, Oct. 29, 1997, at the Blue Ridge Nursing Center, Stuart, Va.

Born July 31, 1908, she was the daughter of the late William T. and Mary Chitty Garris. She was a member of Spurgeon Memorial Baptist Church, Norfolk. She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Boone.

She is survived by two nieces, Geraldine and her husband, Dewey Baker of Woolwine, Va., Mary Elizabeth Dixon of Virginia Beach; a great-nephew, Louis Carroll of Norfolk; and a great-niece, Noel Carroll of Woolwine.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. today in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk, by Dr. Paul Lawson. Howell Funeral Home, Stuart, is handling arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
