CORDIE MURRY

Cordie Murry, 83, a native of Isle of Wight County, died Oct. 29, 1997, in Southampton Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Murry retired after 26 years as a school bus driver for the Isle of Wight School System and was a member of Chapel Grove United Church of Christ, Windsor.

Survivors include his wife, Terece Brodie Murry; two daughters, Virginia Booker of Zuni and Paige Stewart of Portsmouth; a sister, Narcisses Brown of Franklin; six grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

A funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Chapel Grove UCC by the Rev. Joseph J. Ferguson. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at 8210 Windsor Blvd. The body will be in the church by 11 a.m. Saturday. Family and friends will assemble at 22454 Courthouse Hwy. by 12:45 p.m. for the funeral. Tynes-Edwards & Shivers Funeral Home, Smithfield, is in charge of arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
