GONE WITH THE WIND

ILLUSTRATION: Staff photo by DREW WILSON

Legendary windsurfer Robbie Naish, 34, gets a bit of air in the

Atlantic Ocean south of Avon on Monday. It was Naish's first visit

to the Outer Banks, where he made several appearances and conducted

some clinics. Many sailboarders consider the Outer Banks the best

windsurfing spot on the Atlantic seaboard and one of the best in

North America. Fall is prime time for windsurfing here as the

tourist clear out and the winds pick up.
