Charlie C. Van Horn, 75, of the 2700 block of Ike St. died Nov. 2, 1997, in his residence.
Born in Washington County, N.C., he was retired as a rigger for Metro Machine Corporation. He was a U.S. Naval veteran of World War II.
Survivors include two brothers, Elzy Van Horn of Creswell, N.C., and Jesse Van Horn Sr. of Chesapeake.
A graveside funeral will be at noon Wednesday in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Robert L. Groves Jr. The family will be Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and also at 2608 Omar St., Chesapeake, following the service on Wednesday.
