BESSIE W. PRAILEAU

Bessie W. Praileau of the 500 block of W. 26th St. died Oct. 31, 1997, in herresidence.

Born in Sumter, N.C., she was the widow of William Praileau Sr. and a member of Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion Church.

Survivors include six daughters, Mary Webb, Martha Choice, Lucille Wiley, Barbara Williams, Juanita Praileau and Emily Praileau; five sons, Charles Praileau, William Praileau Jr., Richard Praileau, Silas Praileau and Augustus Praileau; two brothers, Daniel Webb and Sheridan Webb Jr.; 22 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion Church by the Rev. Richard Council. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. There will be a wake service from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Graves Funeral Home. Friends may join the family at the residence. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Thursday.
