James Alan ``Jim'' Nichols, 49, of the 3400 block of Valley Jo Place died Nov. 2, 1997, in his home.
He was a native of Clarksburg, W.Va., and was employed as store manager for Kramer Goodyear. He was a Methodist and a member of Canadenis United Methodist Church, Canadenis, Pa. Jim was also a foster parent for Social Services of Chesapeake.
Jim is survived by his wife, Donna G. Nichols; two daughters, Jennifer and her husband, Jimmy King, of Portsmouth and Linda J. Nichols of Chesapeake; his mother, Norma Jean Squires of Upper Saint Clair, Pa.; three sisters, Pat and Pam Nichols of Upper Saint Clair, and Janice Brooks of West Virginia; two grandchildren, Tyler James Raby and Kaitlyn Nicole King, both of Portsmouth.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of Loving Funeral Home, Churchland, by Dr. Andy Lefco with interment to follow in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the services at the residence.
