Dr. Jennings Goddin Cox, 51, died June 21, 1997.
Dr. Cox was a neuropsychologist specializing in pediatrics and traumatic brain injuries. He had been associated with physical and rehabilitation psychology at the Memorial Medical Center, Savannah, since 1992. Prior to that he was an associate with the Virginia Commonwealth University Counseling Service for six years and served as director of counseling services at Longwood College from 1980 to 1986. He also previously practiced in Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Cox was a 1967 graduate of Randolph-Macon College and earned his master's degree from VCU in 1969 and his doctorate from the University of Missouri, Columbia, Mo., in 1974.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Harrison Cox of Richmond; his son, Patrick J. Cox of Baltimore, Md.; his father, William Jennings Cox of Virginia Beach; a sister, Ann C. Brown of Virginia Beach; and a brother, Edmund B. Cox of Blacksburg. His mother was the late Mary Elizabeth Goddin Cox.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Grace and Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 8 N. Laurel St., Richmond. Memorial gifts may be made to the Outreach Fund, Grace and Holy Trinity Church, 8 N. Laurel St., Richmond, Va. 23220. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
