Elizabeth M. Riggs, 88, died Nov. 4, 1997, at Sentara Nursing Center.
Born in Princess Anne County, Va., she was the widow of James E. Riggs.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Shelba R. DeJesus of Virginia Beach; a son, Melvin W. Riggs of Gates County, N.C.; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Altmeyer Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Charity United Methodist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Mark J. Bender. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
