ROBERT E. FENTON

Robert E. Fenton, 59, died Thursday, Nov. 6, 1997.

Mr. Fenton was a member of Monumental United Methodist Church, a retired computer specialist for the Department of Defense and an Army veteran of Vietnam.

He is survived by his wife, Ray Lee Fenton; mother, Carrie Yates Fenton of Charles City, Va.; daughter, Joanne Kelly Daniel, and her husband, Mark, of New Kent; two sons, Robert Peyton Fenton of Pasadena, Md., and Henry ``Butch'' Mills of DeLand, Fla.; five grandchildren, Andy, Carrie Anne, Abby, Emma and Ginny; sister, Mary Ashton Marr, and her husband, Frank, of Yorktown; two brothers, Edward Fenton and his wife, Ursula, of Charles City, and Tommy Fenton of Richmond; sister-in-law, Sue Bryant, and her husband, Barry, of Portsmouth; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Lani Mills Fenton.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Monumental United Methodist Church by the Rev. Raymond H. Edmonds Jr. and the Rev. E. Clifton Whitlock. Internment will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Endowment Fund, Monumental United Methodist Church, 450 Dinwiddie St., Portsmouth, Va. 23707 or to Memorial United Methodist Church, Route 5, Charles City, Va. 23030.
