Grace Rebecca Chambers Feinthel, 97, formerly of Powhatan Ave., died Thursday, Nov. 6, 1997, in a Manassas, Va., nursing home.
She was a retired teacher of the Norfolk Public School System, having taught government at Maury High School for many years. She was born in Dinwiddie, Va., the daughter of the late Dallas Temple and Thomas Beryl Chambers, and was the widow of Joseph Clifford Feinthel. Mrs. Feinthel was a longtime member of Ghent United Methodist Church, the Ghent Garden Club, and the Norfolk and Virginia Retired Teacher's Association.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews, including Rebecca C. Scanlon of Manassas.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Southlawn Memorial Park, Petersburg, Va., by the Rev. Teresa M. Keezel. Memorial contributions may be made to Ghent United Methodist Church. Cox Funeral Home is handling arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
