Myrtie Christian Johnson, 87, of the 3900 block of Llewellyn Ave. died Nov. 7, 1997.
Born in Isle of Wight County, Va., she was a retired housemother for Virginia Baptist Home, Culpepper and a member of Alexander Baptist Church.
Survivors include three nieces, Martha Ann Outlaw of Atlanta, Ga., Jeanette Eldridge of Norfolk and Shirley George of Suffolk; two great-nephews, Michael Outlaw of Atlanta, and Matthew Hobart of Suffolk; and a sister-in-law, Mildred Johnson of Portsmouth.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Western Branch Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. John Burr. The family will receive friends at Snellings Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 4 to 5 p.m. Sunday. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
