Police are asking for help identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a downtown bank robbery that occurred about 4 p.m. Thursday.

Police said a man walked into Central Fidelity Bank in the 300 block of High Street and handed a note to a teller, then fled toward London Boulevard on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

He was described as a white male, about 5 feet, 7 inches tall, with a thin build. He had red hair, a mustache and had not shaved. The suspect was wearing a red pullover sweatshirt with faded or bleached-out sleeves, dark jeans and dark shoes.
