HARRY W. WINSLOW SR.

Harry Walton Winslow Sr., 84, of the 200 block of Williams St. died Thursday, Nov. 6, 1997, in Brian Care Center.

A native of Perquimans County, he was the son of the late Frank and Clara Jane Copeland Winslow and the widower of Lela Mae Cartwright Winslow. He was a self-employed logger, a member of Hertford United Methodist Church, Perquimans Masonic Lodge No. 106, the Scottish and York Bodies and Sudan Shrine Temple. Winslow also was a former Perquimans County Commissioner and director of Peoples Bank and Trust and a member of Hertford Lions Club.

Survivors include a son, Harry W. Winslow Jr. and his wife, Brenda, of Hertford; a sister, Elizabeth Harrell of Camden; two brothers, Tracy Winslow of Chesapeake and John Newby Winslow of Hertford; two grandsons, Todd Winslow and his wife, Tara, of Elizabeth City and Scott Winslow of Cary and a great-grandson, Dalton Winslow of Elizabeth City.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Cedar Wood Cemetery by the Rev. Jon Strother. Swindell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at Mr. Winslow's home.
