TIMOTHY C. BUTLER

Timothy Craig Butler, 38, of the 1300 block of Boxwood Drive died Nov. 5, 1997, in Miami, Fla.

A native of Petersburg, Va., he was an electronics technician and a U.S Navy veteran. Mr. Butler was a member and deacon of Victory Blvd. Church of Christ, where he was a faithful servant of the Lord.

Survivors include his wife, Karen Sloan Butler; his mother, Dolores T. Breckman Mann of Jacksonville, Fla.; his father, Frank T. Butler Jr. of Kill Devil Hills, N.C.; stepmother, Betty Butler of Kill Devil Hills, N.C.; two daughters, Amy L. Farrell of Suffolk and Cecily D. Butler of Chesapeake; two sons, R. Scott Trollinger of Jacksonville, N.C., and Travis K. Butler of Orange Park, Fla.; a sister, Donna Butler of Jacksonville, Fla.; a stepsister, Alice Atkins of Suffolk; four stepbrothers, Steve Johnson of Weyers Cave, Va., David Johnson of Fisherville, Va., Mike Johnson of Kill Devil Hills and Tim Johnson of Chesapeake; three brothers, Thomas Butler of Jacksonville, Fla., Michael Butler of Orange Park, Fla., and Victor Butler of Chesapeake; and a grandchild, Janell. He was predeceased by his stepfather, Tom Mann.

A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in Victory Blvd. Church of Christ by the Rev. James Sprinkle. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. today. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
