BESSIE B. ROBERTS

Bessie Breeden Roberts, 87, died Sunday, Nov. 9, 1997, at South Haven Manor, Woodville.

Mrs. Roberts, a native of Currituck County, was a member of Providence Baptist Church and a former Sunday School teacher. She was the daughter of the late Herbert E. and Clara Sanderson Breeden and the widow of Celeus Fearing Roberts.

Survivors include a son, Don M. Roberts of Virginia Beach; a sister-in-law, Cora Breeden of Elizabeth City; and two grandchildren, Jeffrey and Jennifer Roberts, both of Virginia Beach.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Twiford's Memorial Chapel, Elizabeth City, by the Rev. C.H. Wellons. Burial will follow in Highland Park Cemetery. The family will assemble at the funeral home at 1:15 p.m. Following the service, the family will receive friends at the funeral home. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
