Carolyn Phifer, 76, of the 2800 block of Aaron Drive died Nov. 8, 1997.
Survivors include a daughter, Thelma Burns-Bynum of Chesapeake; a son-in-law, Jerome Bynum of Chesapeake; grandchildren, Wayne A. and Monica E. Daniel of Newark, N.J., and Keenan Burns of Chesapeake; two great-grandchildren; an aunt, Willie Bell-Gale of Charlotte, N.C.; a niece, Idelria Harper of Charlotte; a nephew, Reid Lee Moore of Charlotte; and a special friend, Kyle Parker-White of Chesapeake.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Thursday in Fourth Baptist Church, Portsmouth, by the Rev. Charles Beamon. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in P.G. Thomasson Funeral Service Inc. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. the day of the service. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
