James David Hall, 77, died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 1997, in a local hospital.
Mr. Hall was a native of Westmoreland, Tenn., and a retired insurance agent for Life of Virginia. He also retired as a master sergeant in the U.S. Army and served during World War II and in Korea. Mr. Hall was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Marie Hall; five daughters, Clemmie Kirk of Suffolk, Cynthia Hingerty and Natalya Rotz, both of Chesapeake, Shirley Allen of Portsmouth and Mary Knight of Suffolk; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Naomi Eaton of Indianapolis, Ind.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Gene Primm. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
