Mildred West Cunningham, 81, died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 1997, at Louise Obici Memorial Hospital, Suffolk.
Born in Waverly, she was the widow of Claude Edwin Cunningham and a beautician. She was a member of Waverly Baptist Church and of the Laurel Chapter, Order of The Eastern Star, Claremont.
Survivors include a daughter, Claudia C. Tomlin, and her husband, Mills T. Tomlin Jr. of Chesapeake; three grandchildren, Amy, Sherri and Craig; and a sister-in-law, Arlene Bosserman of Buena Vista, Va.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield. Burial will be in Waverly Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday. Memorial donations may be made to the Waverly Volunteer Rescue Squad. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
