V. ALFRED ETHERIDGE

V. Alfred (Jack) Etheridge, 79, of the 1600 block of Westwood Road, died Nov. 10, 1997, in the University of Virginia Hospital, Charlottesville, Va.

Mr. Etheridge was a native of Creeds, Princess Anne County, and a resident of Virginia Beach for most of his life.

Survivors include his wife, Maribelle Malbon Etheridge of Charlottesville; two sons, Vernon Alfred Etheridge Jr. of Key West, Fla., and David Malbon Etheridge of Charlottesville; a daughter, Denise Etheridge LaCour of Charlottesville; six sisters, Mildred E. Wilson of Virginia Beach, Bertie E. Trump of Franklin, Va., Elizabeth E. Henley, Florence E. Nicklas, both of Virginia Beach, Anita E. Harrell of Chesapeake, Louise E. Harrell of Urbanna, Va.; two brothers, Nelson J. Etheridge and Bennie J. Etheridge, both of Virginia Beach; three grandsons, Daniel Etheridge, Michael Etheridge and Trace LaCour; and a great-granddaughter, Hannah Etheridge.

A church service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday at Nimmo United Methodist Church by the Rev. Scott Davis. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today. The immediate family will be at the home of Mrs. C. Roger Malbon at 503 W. Holly Road. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
