Ruth Yarnell Treichler died Nov. 9, 1997.
Born in Niagara Falls, N.Y., on Oct. 20, 1917, she lived in Virginia Beach for 40 years. She was the widow of Harold E. Treichler of 607 High Point Ave., Virginia Beach, and the daughter of Theodore Yarnell and Stella Bennett Yarnell, both of Niagara Falls. Mrs. Treichler was a retired sales manager for Mariner Resort Hotel. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church of Virginia Beach since 1956, a member of the Beasley Bible Class and the United Methodist Women Craig-Tyson Circle. She was a past member of Hotel-Motel Assoc. of Virginia and Virginia Assoc. of Executives.
Survivors include her son, Thomas E. Treichler of Lanham; granddaughters, Tommie Christine Treichler of Springfield, Va., and Miranda Clara Treichler of Niagara Falls; and sister, Ida Read of Niagara Falls.
A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday in the Virginia Beach United Methodist Church, Pacific Ave. at 19th St. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
