WALTER L. TRAPNELL

Walter ``Walt'' L. Trapnell, 50, of the 4400 block of Drum Castle Court, died of a heart attack Nov. 5, 1997, in Chincoteague.

Born in West Point, Ga., he was an environmental engineer. He was a member of Baylake United Methodist Church. He attended Emory University and Randolph Macon College. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dale Scarbath Trapnell.

Survivors include his children, Maggie Ruth Trapnell and Barrett Trapnell of Radford, Va.; a sister, Sue Heyward of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; his mother, Frances L. Trapnell; and his father, Barney L. Trapnell of Virginia Beach; a nephew, a niece, several cousins and many friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Baylake United Methodist Church, Shore Drive. Memorial donations may be made to Baylake United Methodist Church building fund. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
