Euva Porter Hasselman died Sunday, Nov. 9, 1997, in a local nursing home.
She was a retired apartment manager and a Catholic. She was the widow of Carol V. Hasselman.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty Jones of Chesapeake; a sister, Bernice Michal of High Point, N.C.; five grandchildren, Amy Jones, Bruce Jones and his wife, Tracy, Doug Porter and his wife, Cindy, Kelly Jones and her husband, Don, and Linda Klamm and her husband, Don; numerous great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Betty Porter Wicke of Olathe, Kan. She was predeceased by her first husband, Armond T. Porter Sr. and her son, Armond T. Porter Jr.
A prayer service will be conducted at 6 p.m. Sunday in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, by Father Leo Manelo with visitation to follow until 7 p.m. Mrs. Hasselman will be taken to Arlington National Cemetery for a committal service at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21.
