ALICE LOYALL MCCAW

Alice Loyall McCaw, 91, died Nov. 11, 1997, in her home.

Mrs. McCaw was born in Norfolk. She was the widow of James Brown McCaw Jr. She was a member of Christ and St. Lukes Episcopal Church, Norfolk.

Mrs. McCaw was an honorary lifetime member of both Virginia Beach SPCA and the Princess Anne-Virginia Beach Historical Society. She was a member of the Colonial Dames of America.

Survivors include her daughter, Anne McCaw Smith of Virginia Beach; her son, James B. McCaw III of Fla.; four grandchildren, Ramsay Smith Skenes, Alice Smith Jenkins, John Thompson Loyall Smith and Martha Lindsay McCaw; three great-grandchildren, Robert D. Skenes, Anne Loyall Skenes and Lee S. Jenkins.

A church service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Christ and St. Lukes Episcopal Church by the Rev. James Sell. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery.
