CRIME REPORT - CHESAPEAKE

Lists of property crimes and robberies in the city are provided to The Clipper by Chesapeake Police. They include the address at which the crime occurred, the missing items and the approximate date. For robberies, a description of suspects also is provided.

BUTTS ROAD BOROUGH

(The rural southeast section)

Grand larceny, 600 block of Corapeake Drive. Missing: Sony compact disc AM/FM stereo and amplifier. Oct. 12.

DEEP CREEK BOROUGH

(Including the Great Dismal Swamp)

Residential burglary, 900 block of Lake Village Drive. Missing: a pair of Reebok sneakers. Oct. 8.

Grand larceny, 2500 block of Woodshire Circle. Missing: Pioneer speaker and two NTX speakers. Oct. 8.

Strong-armed robbery, 2500 block of Gilmerton Road, Crescent Place Apartments. The victim was about to open the door to his apartment when a male wearing a blue pantyhose over his face approached carrying a gun. Suspect demanded money. Description of suspect: black male, 150 pounds, medium build and wearing a green T-shirt and black jeans. Oct. 9.

Petty larceny, 900 block of Levee Court. Missing: wallet. Oct. 8.

Petty larceny, 2900 block of Cedar Road. Missing: Hitachi nail gun. Oct. 9.

Robbery, 1400 block of N. George Washington Highway. Victim was approached by a male carrying a small black hand gun. The suspect demanded the victim's wallet and the victim gave him $17. Suspect then fled south on George Washington Highway. Description of suspect: black male, 6 feet, 170 pounds and wearing a teal sweatshirt, black pants, black hat and black gloves. Oct. 11.

Robbery, 3300 block of S. Military Highway. After arriving at MacDonald's restaurant, victim was approached by three males. One of the males asked him for his wallet and told him to empty his pickets. The victim removed his wallet and handed the suspect $360. The victim was told to get back into his vehicle. Description of suspect No. 1: black male, 6-foot-3, 250 pounds, 19-24 years old and wearing gold chains. Suspect No. 2: black male, 5-foot-8, 170 pounds, 19-24 years. Suspects No. 3: black male, 5-foot-8, 160 pounds about 19-24 years old. Oct. 11.

Residential burglary, 2300 block of Cedar Road. Missing: Murray 12 1/2-horse power riding lawn mower, Homelite 2400cc gas weed eater and a Skil electric circular saw. Oct. 11-12.

Residential burglary, 200 block of Mill Creek Parkway. Missing: a television. Oct. 11.

Residential burglary, 200 Mill Creek Parkway. Missing: an Orion 13 inch television and a necklace. Oct. 10.

Petty larceny, 1700 block of Stilton Arch. Missing: two hacks of wood. Oct. 9.

Grand larceny, 3000 block of Cook Blvd. Missing: tailgate off pickup truck. Oct. 10.

Petty larceny, 1400 block of New Mill Drive. Missing: Virginia license plates No.C21845. Oct. 11-12.

SOUTH NORFOLK BOROUGH

(The old city of South Norfolk)

Strong-armed robbery, 1300 block of Poindexter St., Kentucky Fried Chicken parking lot. Victim left the store with money in his hand when he was approached by several males. The victim advised that the suspects bumped into him several times, then one suspect snatched his gold chain from his neck. When the suspects left, the victim also noticed that his wallet was missing. The victim approached one of the suspects and the suspect brandished a shotgun. The suspect left in a gold-colored Ford Escort. Other suspects left in a gold-colored BMW or Mercedes. The victim recovered the gold chain. Description of the suspect with the shotgun: black male, 18 years old, 6-foot, medium build, light skin with short black hair. Oct. 8.

Residential burglary, 500 block of Lafayette Ave. Missing: four cabinets and a cabinet base. Oct. 7-8.

Petty larceny, 3100 block of Kemet Road. Missing: Virginia's state tags No. ZJL 8046.

Residential burglary, 3000 block of Fireside Drive. Missing: Magnavox television. Oct. 8-9.

Petty larceny, 1100 block of Hull St. Missing: Chesapeake city sticker. Oct. 8-9.

Residential burglary, 1100 block of Commerce St. Missing: $40. Oct. 11.

Grand larceny, 3000 block of Hornsea Road. Missing: Pioneer stereo, 30 compact discs, and speaker box. Oct. 9-10.

Residential burglary, 3100 block of Petre Road. Missing: Admiral videocassette recorder and two rings. Sept. 30-Oct. 8.

Commercial burglary, 200 block of Medical Parkway, Hand Surgery Associates. Missing: currency. Oct. 7-8.

Grand larceny, 800 block of Carolyn Drive. Missing: Panasonic drill motor, Skill hammer drill, Milwaukee saws and Craftsman jig saw. Oct. 78.

Grand larceny, 4700 block of Rutledge Road. Missing: a gas generator. Oct. 8.

Grand larceny,1300 block of Volvo Parkway, Greenbrier Country Club. Missing: three Taylor metal drivers, a Ping putter, a red vinyl golf bag and several golf balls. Oct. 7.

Grand larceny, 1500 block of Crossways Blvd., Rack & Sack parking lot. Missing: Electronic ignition control, spark rod assembly, electrode assembly, thermostat, flange bearing, limits switch with arm, fan proving switch, timer, electronic spark ignition control.

Grand larceny, 4200 block of Indian River Road, Chapman's Auto Upholstery. Missing: 1985 Chevy Blazer, green, plates unknown. Oct. 7-8.

Residential burglary, 1200 block of Fontana Ave. Missing: fireworks and ammunition. Oct. 9.

Grand larceny, 800 block of Live Oak Drive., Air Duct Cleaners of Virginia. Missing: two American toolboxes, a Craftsman toolbox, a Dewalt saw, a Milwaukee saw and assorted tools. Oct. 8-9.

Grand larceny, 700 block of Ray Ave. Missing: 1994 Dodge Spirit, burgundy, Virginia tags No. BNI-691. Oct. 9.

Residential burglary, 3100 block of Petre Road. Missing: RCA television, Cannon computer printer, HI Val CD Rom drive, Packard Bell computer monitor, JVC compact disc player, Optima stereo receiver, Radio Shack videocassette recorder and Packard Bell desktop computer. Oct. 11-12.

Residential burglary, 1100 block of Cherry Tree Lane. Missing: a Trek men's 14-speed bike, a Murray ladies' 10-speed and a men's green touring bike. Oct. 6-11.

Grand larceny, 3500 block of Bernie's court. Missing: Web bell, Smith & Wesson handcuffs, Galco hoster, Asp baton, Smith & Wesson radio holder and Smith & Wesson spray holder. Oct. 8-9.

Residential burglary, 3400 block of Bruin Drive. Missing: a purse, a watch, an set of keys and currency. Oct. 11.
