Neal E. Woods, 74, died Nov. 12, 1997, in Sentara Leigh Hospital.
Born in Manila, Ark., he was a retired owner of Woods Plastering Co. and Central Auto Sales. Mr. Woods was a member and trustee of Christ's Sanctified Holy Church and was also a longtime teacher and conference member of the church. The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Claude H. and Emma Woods, he was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Woods; two daughters, Gloria Butler and her husband, Edward, of Norfolk, and Joy Melton and her husband, Mark, of St. Augustine, Fla.; a son, Weldon ``Bubba'' Woods and his wife, Marlene, of Chesapeake; a sister, Martha Mustin of Virginia Beach; a brother, Billy Woods of Chesapeake; and six grandchildren. He was predeceased by three brothers, Eugene, Paul and Burle Woods.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Christ's Sanctified Holy Church, Norfolk, by the Rev. D.O. Dameron. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Woodlawn Funeral Home. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
