MARY L. MALPASS

Mary Lee Malpass, 89, of the 800 block of Woodstock Road went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Nov. 14, 1997.

Mrs. Malpass was a native of Columbus County, N.C., and was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church. Early in life, she taught school, and in later years, she was very active in various church and civic affairs.

Mrs. Malpass was preceded in death by her husband, Percy William Malpass. She is survived by a son, William Don Malpass Sr. and his wife, Betty, of Virginia Beach; a daughter, Sarah Milligan and her husband, Jimmy, of Bells Island, N.C.; seven grandchildren, Susan Mercer, Michael Malpass, Don Malpass Jr., Winkie Kohler, Leeanna Malpass, Sarah Malpass and Joe Milligan; six great-grandchildren, Tommy, Luke, Christa, Caleb, Don III and Ashley; and special friends, Jackie and Jim Jennings and Nancy Mullen.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Calvary Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Mark Bender. Interment will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the residence, 817 Woodstock Road. Friends may pay their respects at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Virginia Beach, from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
